The Cornerstone of Robust Online Reviews

The Cornerstone of Robust Online Reviews

Accushield Reputation Accelerator was launched with a single purpose in mind – to offer our customers a comprehensive and modern approach to collecting online reviews from their community staff, service providers, volunteers, and family or guest.

“Our goal is to boost the number of your online reviews. Your brand and its reputation are the most valuable assets you have at your disposal when it comes to ensuring people remember your senior living community before deciding where to house a loved one,” says Andreea Wilcox, Director of Product Management at Accushield.

As people search for more services online, they expect all services in life to have posted reviews. Peer reviews make loved ones feel more confident in their initial search and outreach.

Here are some eye-opening facts about online reviews, according to research by Review42:

  • 97% of people read reviews of local businesses.
  • 90% of buyers read online reviews to decide on a product’s purchase.
  • Almost half (49%) of users think the quantity of reviews matters. Back in 2016, that figure was 35%.
  • When searching for a local business, 60% of customers check Google My Business for reviews.
  • 78% of people trust online reviews as much as a recommendation from a friend or a family member.
  • Online reviews influence 67.7% of purchasing decisions.
  • 85% of consumers believe online reviews older than three months are irrelevant.
  • According to shopping decisions research, businesses that ask for reviews receive 4.34 stars out of 5 vs. only 3.89 for unprompted reviews.

Reputation Accelerator: Expanded functionality

The first launch of Reputation Accelerator (formerly known as Reviews and Surveys) has been well received, and our customers are excited about the opportunity to leverage the Accushield platform to manage and build their online reputation.

“It’s definitely worth it! Five people wrote reviews on our Google page within a week,” says Taylor Tomasso, Senior Living Digital Marketing Manager.

In support of this interest and our commitment to our customers, we have added several new features to enhance your ability to create review campaigns and collect feedback from community staff, service providers, volunteers, and family or guest.

Here’s what’s included in this release:

A shorter text message, with a shortened URL which includes your Google PlaceID is sent out to your visitors to request an online review.

Previously, the text message and the URL included in the text message could be quite lengthy and could result in the text message being broken up into multiple text messages. This would cause the user to not be able to click on the URL and leave an online review for your location.

Accushield will now automatically construct the correct Google search URL for the page where users can write a new review for your community, based on the shipping address we have in our system for your community. (Please contact us if you need to change your shipping address.) You can edit the Review URL if you’d like.

If a visitor didn’t sign out at the kiosk, Accushield will automatically sign them out and send them the text message to request an online review.

By adding this functionality, we are increasing the number of people who have the opportunity to provide an online review for your community.

Edit the campaign URL and the goodbye messages of your published campaigns.

Previously, the schedule of a campaign was the only setting that could be edited on a published campaign.

Run one active campaign per visitor type, at the same time.

Previously, you could only have one active campaign during a certain period of time. But you may want to run different campaigns for different types of visitors and collect feedback specific to that visitor type. You will now be able to run one active campaign per visitor type, at the same time.

Improved campaign reporting

You can now filter the results of your campaigns by either the Review or Survey campaign type. Additionally, you can now download a report detailing the results of every level of the visitor rating scale.
